I'm sick. Not just that "oh cough cough I don't feel well" sickness. This is like, "you're gonna stay in bed like the bitch that you are" sickness. It started with a slightly sore throat, I didn't think anything about it, I get scratchy, sore throats a lot, where it burns because mucus is draining from somewhere, but usually I'm fine after the initial aching burn. This time, I went to bed and woke up throughout the night in pain and feverish. I had nightmares that felt so real I woke up reacting to them, and I was weirded out for a good few hours afterward before i could even go back to sleep.
Going to the hospital tomorrow D: *lesigh*

Spring
I haven't posted in a while, forgive me for that haha. Lately I just haven't had the motivation to keep updating, though most of the time there just isn't a lot to say!
Over the past while we went on a few adventures, however.... And wonderful Spring weather has begun, so I think there will be more adventures in the VERY near future!
Michael and I went to Harajuku to visit Meiji Shrine! It was a lot of fun, though it was raining (lightly) the entire time we were there.
For 500 yen, you could buy a piece of wood from the Miko (shrine maidens) and write your own wish/prayer. Mine is so very lame, but I couldn't think of anything at the time that I really wanted to wish for. Now I wish I had prayed to pass all of my classes hahah!! Oh well. We'll be going back one more time, I think, so maybe I'll make another one! XD
We even purified ourselves before entering the temple (we were the only foreigners we saw do this, so that was pretty awesome hahaha) and we also tossed some coins in and prayed, albeit a bit nervously, along with everyone else. It was really a lot of fun, and one of the more traditional Japanese experiences we'd had so far.
On the shrine grounds, there were little eateries and a souvenir shop that we ventured through after exploring the main temple. In the food area, we found icecream that I fell in love with! Green tea and vanilla swirl soft serve ice cream. For those of you who know Zips, you know how amazing the choco vanilla swirl cones are (especially in the summer haha!), these were just as amazing. And GREEN TEA? They even had Strawberry, which Michael got! I wish they had had Green tea + strawberry swirl... now THAT would have been amazing.
I'd already taken a bite off of it when I thought about taking the photo haha. But look! I mach the icecream so well! XD
After Meiji, we went to a shopping district in Harajuku and explored a bit. The umbrella madness was... well, mad! EVERYONE had an umbrella, which meant that if you didn't, like Michael and I, you were vulnerable to umbrella rape in the face (you can see the parade of umbrellas in the very first image of this blog post). We did a lot of blocking and dodging while walking down the crowded streets of Harajuku, but we made it away in one piece.
At a shop called Nudy Boy, Michael and I both found something to buy. He bought a hot little zip up hoodie, light and thin, and I bought a sweet bag. Both items are from MAD PUNK, which may be one of my new favourite Japanese punk clothing lines. Someday I'll be able to wear them too hahah! Someday. Gotta lay offa that icecream up there though! (actually, it's the COKE man, the coke. So addicting.)
We called it a night after walking around for quite some time. It was a lot of fun for sure!
Alex and I went on another trip not too long ago to Ueno Zoo. That was FANTASTIC because it was a VERY nice, warm day. Perfect zoo going weather. Besides, I had never been to a REAL zoo--we went to one in Seattle, which I'm sure would ahve been more exciting if it hadn't been raining, but this one was definitely 2-4 times the size of that one! So much fun!!
We made it through pretty much all of the zoo in 2 hours or so before they ushered everyone out for closing around 5 pm. Afterward we decided to get Mc Donalds, undoing all the walking we'd done by chowing down on some very tasty, but very greasy, burgers. Here in Japan they are currently doing a special American burger line where they create burgers for certain cities in the US. So far we've had the Texas, New York, Hawaiian, and California burgers. I don't know if or when more burgers will come out, or where they will come from, but so far the New York burger was the BEST in my opinion. It had this FANTASTIC bite to it with some spicy mustard on it. Delish.
I'll do another update later. Right now there's a HUGE thunderstorm I want to be watching and I don't think my computer should be sitting by the window with me while I do hahah. Besides, it's bed time. 6 am again, and I would be sleeping by now if this storm wasn't so loud! Hahah! Love it though.
Update #2 coming soon!

I love Japan
So very much.
Michael and I walked around forever tonight. We left at 9:30 pm and got back at 12:30 am after walking, sitting around, and drinking. We only spent 300 yen (not even) on alcohol and got decently tipsy.
Also, I FINALLY found my green tea kitkat bars I've been looking for since i got here. I can't help but wonder if they're relatively seasonal? Now that it's spring I found them with cherryblossoms on the case. They were SO GOOD, but 120 yen a set. It's not TOO bad, but I couldn't buy both of the ones I found tonight because I didn't have enough. Oh well. I'm sure I'll find more eventually!!
Anyway, tomorrow I have to be up by 9 or so, we're leaving at 10 am for Harajuku. I'm pretty excited! gotta bring my real camera this time!

Cock
...roaches.
Tonight was an exciting night. One of the girls found a cockroach in her room and came downstairs to recruit a team of people who could catch or kill it. I think we have either caught it, or caught it and killed it, but none of us plan on opening the vacuum to find out. That was a fast bugger.
The roaches here aren't very big, or very creepy. They're just as annoying though. this was the first one I've seen myself, but it wasn't the first sighting in the dorms so far. There have been at least three haha. Who knows, maybe they're all the same one! Lulz.
Sorry I'm not updating very much anymore. I don't do a lot, so I don't feel the need to post every night now. There are a few trips and events planned however, so i will be updating with some more fun, cultural things I'm doing here in Japan. School is not very fun, but I suppose it could be pretty cultural ! hahahah.
Anyway, it's almost 3 am and I want to be up at 8:40 am to finish my homework, study and go to school.
Also, I hate my history class, but I love it at the same time. She announce that homework and tests are due WHENEVER the fuck we want. It's now a "go at your own pace" class. I'm so totally screwed. Oh dear lord am I ever. A few of you will recall my math classes at SFCC, I'm sure. Maybe I'll still make part of Saturday my history time. At least I don't have to fear deadlines anymore.
Except the short story. That is due the 19th, gonna go to the library tomorrow and pick up some books so I can get that started. Not too worried, I love writing creative stuff, so it will just be the 'research' that is time consuming. I'll spit this story out later this week. After my art presentation.
Anyway, good night, ya'll!

Tengu Sakaba
Today we went out for dinner and found a nice little (big) place in Kamata called Tengu Sakaba I believe. It was a neat place, really spacious and we looked at the english menu (with pictures) and ordered a bunch of stuff separately.
I ordered Yakitori (chicken), Pork tongue, pork heart, and pork liver, along with a Scredriver and later on I ordered a peppered garlic pizza that was fantastic, all while spending maybe 1500 yen. MAYBE. It was a really nice place to get an assortment of foods.
I did discover however, that I hate pig heart. Well, hate might be a strong word. I didn't care much for it. It had a very strong flavour to it. But liver was great, though it was a little strange in texture, and tongue, as always, was fantastic. :'D

:F I drew a man today. He's very naked.
Sometimes I think that figure drawing makes me feel perverted :< Not in a bad way, but maybe I'm a little prude? I don't know. I love figure drawing though, so whatever.
I don't know, this is a pointless journal! I just felt like sharing that thought.

Midterms
Might kill me. And I only have one hahah!
Actually, it's not so bad anymore. I thought my English paper would be like, horrible and she would be all "OH GOD YOU SUCK" kind of things, but she actually said it was exactly what she was looking for from me. Which is good. I was worried it would be too long because I went 1000 words over the assigned brackets, but she said she didn't mind long papers at all. :'DD
So now I just have a few things to tweak and then it will be amazing hahahah~
Now Japanese makes me nervous, if only because i don't like oral testing. I'm confident in the written test, but the oral... I just hope I don't choke up.
Right now ... I think it might be nap time. The Giver gave me strange dreams/nightmares so I can't say that my sleep was all that restful. I guess that's what i get for reading it until 3 am and practically passing out with it in my lap hahahahaha.
Nap and then history homework. Sounds good to me!
PS Sorry I fail at blogging lately. I've just been really out of it lately! I think my state of mind is finally getting better.

Akiba
Akiba = Akihabara
I went out with friends to run around Akiba for a while. I'm really tired now, but in a few minutes we're going to walk to the local bar and chat with people anyway haha.
I splurged a little bit today, but now I'm going to do my best to not spend much at all for a while. I think it's possible if I stop eating out especially. We found a wig shop, and they did a neato deal on the wigs where it was buy one get the other half off. I really missed my wigs, and mom couldn't find them to mail them to me, so I guess that makes up for that!
During the adventure through Akiba, we stopped for food, very hungry but too large of a group to really all go to one place. Splitting up, we each wandered for a place to eat, deciding originally on okinomiyaki, then changing it last minute to sushi because a woman overheard us speaking and informed us that the sushi place down the hall (her friend was the owner) happened to be half price on a certain menu!
We went and had quite a bit of sushi for a good price. I think I had seven, and only spent a little over 800 yen. And it tasted SO fresh. Usually I hate fish, but the fish here is so different. I might have to eventually try some other types of fish, not only raw.
I had:
2 Egg (tamago). The sweeten their eggs here.
Sweet Shrimp
Sea Eel
Scallop
Crab
and Medium fatty tuna.
The Eel is still my favourite, it just MELTED in my mouth and it tasted soooo very good. The shrimp were wonderful, but sweet is not a flavour I like on my fish hahah!
This is my friend's plate!!

Woohoo
I think I might party a bit too much.
We went out Wednesday night (in the neighborhood, but still) to a local bar near the dorms. It was Lisa, Belle, Michael, Matt, Dave, Abby, and me all sitting around in a tiny bar with a handful of Japanese locals. I went with the idea in my head that I would only drink two (four at max) drinks.... I should know better than that by now.
Sitting around with them, Michael and I managed to down four drinks before we left, and on the way back to the dorm, we kept debating over the idea of going BACK for just onnneeeee more drink. By the time we got to the dorm, Michael and I were convinced that we had to go back... So we did.
We returned to the bar (not even 15 or 20 minutes since we had left haha) and got welcomed back rather warmly by everyone who was still there, and a few new people. We ordered our drinks and got to chatting with the two girls beside us (in Japanese!) and it was actually a lot of fun. We finished our drink and Michael decided that one more couldn't hurt.
It was definitely a lot of fun, but I much prefer getting drunk and dancing than getting drunk and... not dancing. Because when I'm just sitting around, the effects are far, far, farrrr worse. Once we left the bar (despite protest by the girls haha) we stumbled back home and made asses of ourselves in the lobby while everyone was trying to watch Kiki's Delivery service. It didn't take me long to collapse on the couch against Lisa however and pretty much passed out.
Once everyone was done and ready for bed, Alex assisted in getting my computer up to my room while I stumbled up after him so I could sleep it off now. It was fantastic, because once I was in bed, alone and very drunk, it occurred to me I was going to vomit up my dinner and all the booze I had just downed that night. I rushed myself to the bathroom, swallowing it all back before finding the toilet and spewing my guts four times in a row.
Now Michael and I have pledged to not drink for two weeks. We'll see how that goes, I almost broke it today by trying to get Lisa to go back to the same bar! Hahahaha.
I also finally got my hands on my beautiful tablet. I now own the Bamboo Comic pen and touch. This weekend I am going to play with it, but tonight was homework time, and tomorrow morning too. I can't wait to draw things that I can post again. Fantasticcc.
Good night~

Camelot
Yes, I went clubbing two nights in a row. It was fantastic and now I'm exhausted and drowning in homework. I wondered to myself how it is that anyone parties all the time and still manages to get through their classes, but I'm pretty sure their blood must be made of coffee. Which is something I am lacking at the moment. I could go to the store, but that would waste valuable homework time--not that this isn't doing the exact same thing. Oh well.
We returned to Camelot last night, and it was fantastic fun. Much better than the previous night at Atom. I did drink more last night than I planned, but I left the club with 3500 yen left (went with 10,000yen, Only because we could not find an ATM that would take Michael's overseas card, he's paying me back tomorrow morning).
I seem to be good at pissing Japanese girls off when I dance, though I never seem to notice it. I'm kind of in my own world, I suppose ahahah. Michael told me that one girl tried to mimic me, failed horribly, and then when she saw he and I grinding, tried to get her boy to do the same and failed yet again. I'm sad I always miss these events hahah! I'm such a drama starter it seems.
We left around 3:30 am because I started to feel sick and cranky when it got too crowded. I tried really hard to stay and put up with it, but it was too hot, people were too drunk and being stupid and rude. We kept getting shoved and stepped on, elbows in sides and backs, it was pretty horrible. It did not, however, ruin the night. I want to go back... just not this weekend. It's too expensive to do that every weekend, even if this club seems to give us the best deal.
We've decided that because Thursday we have no school, we're going to go to Yokohama, which sounds fun. I wanted to go last time, but I'm really not fond of huge groups. I ironically feel more isolated and alone in a large group than I do when I'm just hanging out with a handful of people (or even just one friend).
Anyway, I forgot where this was going now. I should write my paper instead of this blog hahah, so I think I will go back to working on that! Wish me luck! XD

Atom
Okayyyy, tonight was long. Fun at first, but in the end it was just drama, long and I'm glad to be sitting in my bed finally! Even if it is 6 am haha.
We went to nomihodai (spelling?) which is pretty much all you can drink (on a selected menu) for 1800yen (about 20 USD). I got pretty 'smashed' I suppose you could say, but I remember everything. Walking was a chore (and yet they had me running hahah!) but I was relatively coherent, though perhaps goofy.
I didn't count how many drinks I had tonight, but I know I got my money's worth hahahahaha. There were so many people, service was slow--I wouldn't mind going again with a smaller group. It was fun, nonetheless, and I clung to Michael a good portion (if not all) of the night for some sort of support to keep me from falling on my drunken ass. Which... I did do once Hahahaha. Didn't realize there was a step! And bam, right to the pavement. It was pretty epic.
We didn't make it to club Atom in time for the discount, which was mildly annoying because entrance was 3,000yen. That's pretty freaking expensive. It was a good time until one of us had a little too much fun, got kicked out of the club, fell, hurt himself and eventually had to be escorted home in a taxi by Michael. Most of us left the club at 2 am instead of staying until the planned 4-5 ish am, and after all of us got split apart, a small group of us wandered the area in search of a place to be for a while.
We walked all the way to Aoyama--where the fuck ever that is--and finally sat ourselves down at a McDonald's that was open, ate and dozed until first train.
I have got to stop doing this hahaha. I think if I go to another club (which I'm sure I will, because they're fantastic when in a small group), it's going to be just a few of us, MAYBE nomihodai before, and definitely not Atom again D: I would much rather go to Camelot. It was more fun and cheaper even during the later time (at least for girls, and it was a little cheaper for guys too!).
Anyway, I think it's bed time.
Here are some pics of me Michael took! Just a couple, but hey~ better than none! Hehe

Fuck you Mother Nature
It's been a while since I've felt this fatigued. I'm exhausted, couldn't sleep last night because of the pain and just utter restlessness. My body still aches and just like yesterday, all I want to do is sleep.
I think I need to find me some super wonder pills to keep the pain at bay, but that doesn't help with the fatigue. It's reminiscent of mono, but I know it isn't. Fortunately, mononucleosis doesn't cause bleeding.
It figures tampons would be hard to find in Tokyo. I still have a few left from when I came, but I must admit that my supply is dwindling quickly. I finally caved and bought some pads from a nearby drug store after giving up my search for the ever-so-evasive tampons in three different stores.
Maybe I'll continue the search tonight. Probably not. I should have a few more to last me, I'll just have to suffer for a bit with those horrible pads D: Ugh.

Well, not really. It's just a frustrating life sometimes.
Today L'Naia left us. D: She's headed back to the US early, which sucks because she was pretty awesome.
There are a lot of others who got the short end of the stick too and seem to be planning this to be their only semester here. I'm rather enjoying myself, to be honest. I want to come back in the fall, maybe a little early to find myself a good apartment/get moved into anywhere I find before I leave or something.
Today I am also sick. D: *sigh* I woke up, felt wonderful, I had even slept in two hours longer than usual. I ate lunch, did my homework, sat around, but when i went to wash my face and get ready for class, I started to feel lousy D: It's not like we had anything I was dreading in school--it was a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary, so it couldn't have been the reason for the sudden change.
My eyes had/have big, dark purple rings around them too now, it's annoying. I'm exhausted, and it's sounding a lot like what the girls on my side of the floor seem to have all been going through. I knew it would find me sooner or later, this 'girl plague'. D<
I made dinner though. And it turned out to be AMAZING. I wasn't expecting it to taste good at all because it was just me throwing a bunch of stuff in a pot and going "LOOKS GOOD!" xD
I put shrimp, basil, garlic, onions, green onions, leek, broccoli, soy sauce, eggs, pepper and salt into a frying pan and just stirred it until it was done. It was probably the best thing I have ever made. Really.
So here it is, 8:30 pm, when i am usually getting home from school... I went, did Japanese, did English, and made it through the first 30 minutes of art before my teacher allowed me to leave and rest up. Don't know if he docked me any for missing class or not, but I did stay through four or five peoples' critiques and commented as well before I left, so yeah. If I got a little docked, no big deal. At least I tried.
Now I'm going to go to bed. :'D Because my body demands it.

Manga Cafe + Other things
Okay, so Friday night I went out with Alex to see his friend play at a little studio in Okigubo. Took some pictures, went partially deaf, y'know, all that fun stuff.
Afterwards, we all went down the road to a little tomato ramen shop and has some REALLY good food.
I burned my tongue on it because I didn't want to wait any longer to eat it D: hahaha. We stayed and chatted for a while before we decided to start heading back. At this point it was late enough we figured we wouldn't be making it home before last train, but we planned on getting to one of the more populated night life scenes we were used to. This would have been a brilliant plan had we not missed the train LEAVING Okigubo. I guess one should always remember to check the last time at the station you're at before assuming it's like all the other ones hahaha.
We wandered in search of a cheap way home and gave up shortly after, taking a moment to wander around the area in search of a 24 hour place that was not food related seeing as we had just eaten dinner.
Our search provided us with a manga cafe (comic and internet cafe) that was REALLY cheap for the overnight (five hour) price at 880yen a person. So essentially we spent about 9USD or so for a safe place to sit/crash until the trains started up again.
We got home around 7 am and crashed (again) for a while. It was kinda fun though. I'm glad I got to experience a manga cafe hahah~!
Saturday night I went to the local public bath with Lisa and some of the other girls in the dorm. I was a little nervous at first--after all, it IS a public bath. The genders are not mixed at this one, but still, I'm not used to sitting around, naked with strangers. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be though. And to be honest, when we left, I felt the cleanest I have felt in a while! It was relaxing and kind of purifying in a way.
Today.... It is snowing. At first I thought it was just going to snow and melt, but now I can see that it is STICKING D: I cry at this. I really do despise snow, it's not my friend at all. I came here to stay away from the evil white fluffy wet stuff. Dammit D: *sighhh!*
I'll have to update with snow photos in a bit... my card reader is made of fail and frequently refuses to read cards D: WTF *eats it* I think it's my computer demanding that I actually restart it, but I don't wanna. Maybe later.
So yeah....
This is something I did today in my art class. I didn't finish it, if it's not obvious, but it's pretty close.
On another random note though.... I have been playing WoW again. Mostly when I have 'free' time and within the next day I should finalllllyyy be at level 40~ This makes me super happy haha. I think it's kind of something that keeps me sane here--I love it here, but man, sometimes you just need to kill things hahaha.

Tea Eggs
Well, here is the result of my adventure today!
With these I added garlic, ginger, leek, onions (that made me CRY while I was cutting them up haha), salt, sugar and pepper (with eggs of course!) and let that cook for three hours. It took a long time but man, they were SO good. Next time I think I will make WAY more eggs though. These are going away sooo fast!
Here they are drained!
And finally, one peeled! Yum :'D
An Adventure in Cooking
Well, today it looks like it's going to rain. Aki (our dorm manager) says that there is a 70 % chance, and it's very windy, mucky out today. Thus, I've decided it seems like a fantastic day to make Tea Eggs. They're a Chinese snack that is offered EVERYWHERE in China for a very cheap price.
These are tea eggs that my Chinese teacher made at SFCC:
They were sooooo~ good. I am hoping that mine will turn out just as good. I tried to get a recipe from her but only got a vague description of ingredients. So I'm just going by whatever (probably fail) instinct I have.
This is what it looked like so far:
There are eggs somewhere under there. Tomorrow they should be all done and hopefully edible ahahahaha~

Stufffff
I don't really know. Today was a good day, though I'd left the dorm expecting to have a mental breakdown or something hahaha.
Did alright ( I think ) on the Japanese chapter test, did alright on the little presentation thing, and my art class was enjoyable as always. Now I'm home, exhausted and still a little hungry despite having just ate.... So maybe I will go ahead and get a snack from downstairs.
My loan came in today too, so now I'm not worried about not having any money. Which is fantastic, because I'd love to make something OTHER than curry! Hahahahahah Sheesh.
Misc hand drawing I did for bonus credit in art:

Biggest Loser
Okay, so you know how in America there is a show called Biggest Loser? Where they take overweight/obese people and compete to see who loses the most each week, etc etc?
Or even those programs you see advertised in magazines, online, on tv with the before and after photos? Well I found one of those in the back of my mangazine. (Yes mangazine--not magazine haha) The only problem is... there program isn't taking an obese or overweight girl (in this case) and helping her get skinny.... It takes an already skinny girl and makes her SKINNIER. I about died laughing. These already slim girls lost roughly 20-35 pounds to become super model, paper thin.
I'm just amused XD So I had to mention something about it.
I should go have a life now hahaha. Cleaned up my room a bit, but I don't know where I'm going to put my poor books yet... XD; Oh well.

Club Camelot
Last night I had what I'm going to consider my first real club experience.
For Eric's birthday, a rather large group of us wet to Shibuya with plans of doing karaoke but found out that the place we had in mind was jam packed and we could only get one room and would have to wait for it. A group of us wanted to go to a club afterward so this wasn't working out so well since we'd had a late start getting out of the dorm due to some stragglers. Instead, we split into two groups, one staying behind at the karaoke place and the other went on an adventure to find Camelot.
Camelot is a multi-floor club in Shibuya and it was pretty freaking awesome. We went early enough for the 'early bird' discount, where women got in free and men got in for 10 dollars + 2 free drinks (thus essentially free). Things were slow at first, but any club is usually relatively slow before 11 pm.
We drank while we waited for things to pick up, and I have to say it didn't take long for me to spend quite a bit of money on drinks alone. Throughout the entire night, I had two rum and cokes, one whiskey and coke, and a few other drinks I don't quite remember anymore haha. I actually didn't get drunk enough to not really remember everything, and all the dancing sobered me up faster than I thought it would but it was still fun.
Also, it's become rather apparent that I can dance, though I've never quite agreed with the idea haha. After a few drinks, I didn't feel so nervous, and quite honestly, being around with friends who just didn't care if you could dance or not helped a lot.
We all missed last train last night and stayed out until six am, going to McDonald's for breakfast from about 3:30-4 am to 5 am, before heading over to the train station to chill and wait for the first train.
All in all the club was a lot of fun. A lot of Japanese people seem to be a little shy about dancing, and they all face the SAME direction in the dance floor--it was kind of awkward until it was really packed and everyone had no choice but to face different ways hahaa. In the beginning there was one Japanese guy who decided to dance with ALL of us, boys and girls haha, he was hilarious.
After that, I danced with Michael for the most part. Though I danced with Eric and Elyce a little, I didn't really go the extra step of actually trying to dance with strangers hahaa, maybe next time. Supposedly, however, there had been someone checkin' me out, and had he not spilled his drink on the way over, he might have actually come and danced with me hahaa. Oh well.
After some minor persuasion, they got me on the ladies only stage with Elyce and other Japanese girls to dance. I'm surprised I wasn't so embarrassed about it, but it was a lot of fun so I guess that might be why.
....I'll try and update more about this tomorrow, I'm falling asleep at my computer!

I am exhausted, but it was a good night. After classes, Alex and I went to Kamata, stopped at Donki Houte and I got some batteries for my camera + a screen for my phone :'D After that, we went to the used book shop I had found there and I bought a decent load of used manga magazines--mostly with hetero pairings this time, but I did buy ONE yaoi one. I spent about 1500yen on them all together, so that wasn't bad at all! There were only two that went over 250yen.
Afterward, we hit the arcade with a 500 yen limit. Played some games and went home where we decided to make gyouza and shiumai(?) for dinner, with a 500 ml can of Mt Dew for dinner.... I hadn't had Mt Dew in so long, the caffeine has totally destroyed me. I can't sleep!
Thus, he and I watched movies--starting with The Lovely Bones, which he pirated a VERY good quality version leaked when they showed the film for award considerations. It was a great movie; sad and it made me want to cry, but still good. It didn't follow the book as much as I wished it had, and I think I would have enjoyed it more having not known the original story--but it was close and not too crazy out there from the original writing, so I really can't complain too much!
After that we watched Clerks since I hadn't seen it yet. Now I wish I had brought Clerks II with me so I could watch that now too! Hahahaha. Oh well.
Well, it is 4:50 am here and I haven't slept yet.... I think I'm going to lie down and hope I fall asleep! XD

Yesterday, I went in for my English conference--she didn't pick my paper apart too much, but she did say I was too casual for this type of paper. That's not surprising, oh well. I'll re-write it this weekend.
After that, I waited around at the school and played card games with Lisa until it was time to go down and meet Michael and Elyce to go shopping. Unfortunately most of us have been having financial issues so we vetoed the shopping idea last minute and Lisa showed us a fantastic little curry shop by the station. It was good! But a bit spicy for me. And I've discovered that I really just do NOT like miso soup. Which is a shame D:
All of this was just for 580 yen :'D I think it's a pretty fantastic price, don't you?
After this, we went to the konbini (convenience store) and bought some yummy chocolates! They're calls Dars~
The box this year is a special design... It's so silly XD
It's backwards! Hahah It was cute and amusing, we had to buy it.
We came home and flopped down to play around on the internet an do homework last night. It was a good day in the long run for some of us, and a more stressful for others. The iPhone deal ended up being a load of crap, which is too bad for those who signed up for it, but it seems most of the people have figured out how to fix the problem and gotten new phones through other companies. I'm just glad I got the phone I wanted! It sounds like the iPhone was just not worth it D: I love my Mirumo~
I went out for "tea time" with Schon and Michael last night and had my first Japanese beer... XD I must say I like it no more than I do American beer, but that's okay. I was also a bit ashamed to say that I had gotten a bit drunk off of just the small, unfinished can I DID drink! Such a light weight it seems hahahaa. I didn't even feel it until we'd got back to the dorm and I'd sat down. I'm thinking about tagging along for Eric's b-day bash to go drinking, but I don't think I'll let myself get smashed haha. I do still have to do homework this weekend after all.
When we got home(again), I made some little octopus dogs with Michael. They are SO fun to make and so cute xD I absolutely love them.
Well, now I need to finish homework so I can go pick up my gaijin card and go to classes!
Later!
